During 2019 the church clock was found to be unreliable and in need of renovation.  The clock was dismantled and taken to Cumbria where it was completely overhauled and rebuilt using mainly the original parts.

In November an event was held in the Church to celebrate the conclusion of the work and the the clock being replaced in its position in the tower.  The Church was decorated on the theme of time and their were many displays and lunches provided for visitors.

The more adventurous and mobile visitors were invited to climb the ladder to the top of the tower, admire the clock mechanism and experience the hourly chimes of the bell.
